Our first cartoon model

I am working on a project to create physical models of biological molecules with our ZCorp color 3D printer. Thanks to some brilliant people at my institution, we are reaching the stage where can create these models in cartoon form. If you have ever watched Nova or some other science program, you have likely seen these types of models spinning on your television screen. Now, imagine being able to hold it in the palm of your hand, fabricated in full color. I am still amazed at this.

This editorial cartoon by Bearman was written by George Ford of addanaccity.com and published at bearmancartoons.wordpress.com and cincinnatibeacon.com on April 28, 2009. It depicts Porky Pig in bed pleading with his Looney tunes friends not to kill him because he says he doesn’t have swine flu but rather just a cold.
