Taken near Brockenhurst on the edge of the New Forest in Hampshire.

One morning in late May, 2005, I boarded a fast train from London's Waterloo Station and sped out to the village of Brokenhurst in the New Forest. I got a map from the cycle rental shop and walked out past the fields and meadows and into the edge of the forest itself, which was filled with bird song. I had a memorable lunch at "Simply Poussin", took a short spur train down to the port of Lymington, walked around the harbour for an hour or so, and was back in London for dinner. A great day out...

If you click on the Set to the right and run the Slideshow in large screen mode, you can follow me through the day.

This is a close up of my other wide shot ( www.flickr.com/photos/southwestusa/3885901528/ ) of the ancient volcano in Southern New Mexico. Water flows into the lower confines of what was once the mouth of the volcano. This dry, desert region doesn't receive much rainfall, but what rain falls in this area collects in this massive depression.
